Spring Valley Vineyard is situated twelve miles northeast of Walla Walla, amid the wheat fields of southeastern Washington with the Blue Mountains providing the backdrop. The winery first planted an initial block of Merlot in 1993 on a south-southwestern facing hillside which allowed the vines to take optimal advantage of air drainage and sunshine.
